ABOUT JB KIND: JB. Kind was founded by Mr John Blower Kind in 1870 and after his death in 1905, became incorporated as a Limited Company in 1906.We have a proud history from those early days as timber merchants and more importantly as wooden beer crate manufacturers for the then burgeoning bottled beer industry.During two world wars, we contributed greatly in the manufacture of ammunition boxes and other military requirements. Shortly after the end of the Second World War, plastic brought about the demise of the beer crate, but fortunately the advent of forklift trucks resulted in our pre-eminence in the manufacture of timber pallets, which led us back to prosperity.In 1983 the Company embarked on a new venture, stocking and distributing wooden doors, principally from foreign sources. In 1996 the Whirlowdale Group acquired the business and under their ownership, the Door Division has flourished. This success has been achieved by establishing a brand image not only for the best quality doors but also a flair for design. The strap line “Doors In Vogue” was adopted to further reflect the Company’s leading role in door fashion J. B. Kind is now one of the major independent national distributors for this commodity throughout the UK, with doors being specified for many prestigious properties throughout the land. |

ABOUT SINGER DOORS: Singer Doors have been
in business for over 30 years. The company was formed by the Singer Family
and is still a privately owned family business. Originally the Company were
plywood importers supplying the caravan trade with plywood and doors.
However, the door side developed and the company now specialise in the
import and wholesale distribution of hardwood external and internal doors
and top quality Interior Oak doors from Spain. Singer Doors were the first
company to introduce triple glazed doors to the market and also were one of
the first importers of Ramin Louvre doors. The Company, who were originally
based in Clapton, East London, have now moved to a new Warehouse and Offices
in Walthamstow, London. From these premises we distribute doors all over the UK. To Retail Outlets and Timber Merchants.
